Goldie.

A lot of People figured that Goldie was a Marilyn type character. As did untill recently when I saw Born Yesterday.... ANd now upon seeing the movie again, it hit me....

Goldie is much more of a Judy Holiday type character.

(I thought of this at the scene when Edmond confronts her in her dressing room and she screams.)

Anyone else agree?

I was watching this movie with my 7 yr old niece today and she was asking me why Goldie is dressed like that. So that tells you that even little kids can tell she's a tramp.

Oh My God Yo' God Is Touchin' Ya!

Um. Actually she's a showgirl. That's the way showgirls dress. Ever been to Las Vegas? Seen pictures of the shows? They wear body suits to dance in onstage. She's not a tramp. She's a performer. She wears what her boss tells her to wear. You'll notice at the end she's wearing overalls. Totally skanky...

I have to agree...that bodysuit covers more than a lot of bathing suits you see these days. You wouldn't call a ballet dancer skanky and a tramp just because her outfit is skintight. What you perform in doesn't necessarily speak to personal style.

You mean the really, REALLY short cut Daisy Duke overalls? Totally.

What's wrong with showing her legs? It's not like her T'N'A are hanging out... Would bermuda shorts or clam diggers make you feel more comfortable? Did you happen to notice that other barnyard animals aren't wearing ANY pants??

Yeah that one chicken in the beginning is showing sooooo much cleavage! I'm pretty sure that I wanted to look like Goldie when I was little.

Your post made me laugh :). When people over-analyze children's movies it starts to get silly.
