What at ass transfer. Non-anamorphic, grainy, terrible. Did they use a second-generation VHS as a master? Also, the case says it's Dolby 5.1! WRONG! 2.0 across the board.
Saw the end of this on TV and bought the DVD to catch the rest. Haven't watched it yet. I'll need to force myself because of has bad it looks.
Yeah, it's bad. I remember seeing this film on VHS sometime in the 90's and enjoying it, so one day at Wal-Mart I grabbed the DVD from the $3.99 bin. The only thing I really cared about was that it was in widescreen, which it was, so I hurried home to watch it. Right off the bat I could tell something was wrong with the transfer - dark, blurry and with very poor audio. It was like watching the video again!
I ended up just giving it to a buddy of mine who's a big Denzel fan. Hopefully they will release a proper DIGITAL version of this movie in the future...
