How did they get away with...

Showing Milla's boobs. Or was it her butt? I remember watching this movie a few years back, and something naughty was shown. And she was born in 1975, the movie being released in 1991, so that's at most 16. Isn't that a big no-no with child pornography laws etc. Yeah, no real sexual acts were shown, but she was still nude in some way and I know that's still against some law, correct? Help me out, what was shown again? And how didn't they get in trouble?

I didn't mind seeing her nude in the Fifth Element and beyond, but it's kind of creepy in this movie.

Obviously the movie producers wouldn't have done it if it was illegal. There are many, many examples of actresses under 18 nude in movies. Showing someone under 18 in real sex acts is illegal. Nudity isn't as long as it doesn't involve "lewd or lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area." Since it was a topless-only scene there was no way they could have broken the law.

So deathemon8749, are you one of these people who believe that all teenagers (male or female) are innocent non-sexual creatures until one minute past midnight on their 16th birthday (make that 18 if you live in the USA)? And to find anyone under that age attractive makes you a paedophile (make that pedophile if you live in the USA)?

Mila is obviously post-pubescent in this movie, she is also quite attractive looking as well. She may be "underage" (14 I think) but don't worry about it, she is quite obviously not a child, she is a young woman. Being attracted to her in this movie does not make you a pervert or potential sex offender, it just makes you a heterosexual male attracted to an attractive young fertile woman of child bearing age which is the most natural of things in the world.

None of which however changes the fact that this film sucks...

"I think you're a load of old crap too, Mr Mulligan."

Hopefully, you prudes will eventually stop associating nudity with sex. There is nothing inherently wrong with being nude. Even in the United States (so far), there are nudist camps where people of all ages go about naked.
