At the end of this movie, what if...

Let's say Richard, Lilli and their family get sick of the island, and want to explore outward. Say Richard or another family member made a boat, followed the tribe that did sacrifices and burials on the island, and then worked their way to other, charted islands from there. They would eventually find another ship that would get them back to civilization, and maybe the next representatives of civilization wouldn't be so unappealing to them. Let's face it, between the snotty daughter Sylvia and the thieving rapist Quinlan, they didn't get a really good taste of civilization. (in fairness to the rest of the crew, they weren't too bad. Even Sylvia wasn't really horrible, and Quinlan got eaten by a shark.)

I think they change their mind over time, curiosity and boredom would probably get the best of them.

Thing is, a lot of people in this world are like the slutty, yet "Sophisticated" Sylvia and the rapist Quinlan!

It would seem really unlikely to me that they would ever want to leave the island. Lets look at some the key ways both each set of main characters and the plots of the movies are alike and different. Here is probably the most important difference Lily and this Richard have spent essentially no time in civilization (or at least none they can remember) and Richards parents spent 8 years in civilization and they decided they didn't want to go back so why would two kids who likely have no memories of civilization want to be part of it when two kids who had spent 8 years in civilization didn't.

I was hoping the shark would eat them all after watching this crap.

Why make this? If you are making a sequel, you need to make it better, more believeable. Hair under armpits, non-Bon Jovi hair cuts, American accents with present day words?

Come on!
