My take on the ending of the film SPOILERS!

Okay, earlier in the film when Mimi Rogers tries to kill herself after shooting her daughter she doesn't...but did she? Let's say the film doesn't show it because she thinks she is still alive. Okay, she says "You can't get into heaven when you kill yourself," to the cop. Well, lets say after she killed her daughter she really did kill herself. Then this whole 'rapture' thing is her 'hell' and the dark that she is stuck in at the end is the hell she will be in...forever. Basically, what if the last part of the film was all an alusion and even though the film didn't show her pulling the trigger (This might be this way due to the fact it that she thinks she is still alive)

It's hard to stay mad when there is so much beauty in the world
