Motel timeline: In the original, Norman said the boyfriend convinced the mother to build the motel. But in this movie, the motel was already built when she met him? Did I miss something?(the satellite did go out for a few minutes while this was on)

The funeral: Was the mom actually tickling him? Or was she jacking him off?

Built hotel is Continuity Error. Writer made a script screw up when trying to connect it with the original, and ignore parts 2 and 3.

She was tickling him. She's one of those "Anti-Erection" mothers, that flip out if you were to get turned on by something.
