Coach is driving across the bridge at the end and he keeps repeating, "Lowenstein, Lowenstein, Lowenstein....."
What a stupid thing to say! I guess it's the final Jewish emphasis. You would think he would say her first name. Jeez.

I think it fit, they very rarely used their first names in the novel, particularly Tom, he was always calling her doc or Lowenstien
