shareyes it was release at the cinema. but I don't remember if it was big as I was only 12 at the time. Don't think it would have been that big... some how. but I still love it. like many I had (have) a corey's movie's fetish hehehe

The movie sucked, definitely the worst movie Arquette has been in.
I didn't think it was a big hit back then. Though it appears to be some kind of a cult movie now. Corey Haim was a teen idol at the time anyway so i would imagine that all the teenagers that liked him would of went to the cinema to see it.
I kinda liked it anyway.

You're entitled to your opinion, knifeparty2004. But dare I suggest that "Prayer of the Rollerboys" may, in fact, have been one of Corey Haim's best films ever?
No, it never came to cinema's it was an original movie for Showtime or HBO. I remember when it premiered, my family was on a trip from Virginia to Wisconsin. At every motel we stopped off at they had free HBO or Showtime and we must have seen the movie 3-4 times.
