A Very Obvious Undercover Cop

Johnny Utah was was a terrible undercover cop. Walked around very straight edge the whole movie NOT acting like a real surfer and asking nosey questions constantly. In real life I don't think he would have fooled anybody.

Also retarded, they used him in an actual assault on a house, even though they needed him to remain undercover. Why??? He could have simply NOT been involved in that..

reply

LOL. Yeah he definitely had a bad habit of asking suspiciously nosy questions. Like the scene where Bodi & Johnny discussing the surfer goons they just had a fight with. Bodi: Brains are wired wrong, they're into bad sh*t. Johnny: Like what? Illegal sh*t? 🤔🤨

reply

Haha that was the worst line ever. Then Swayze responded in a frustrated tone, 'maybe I dono THATS NOT WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT' in a frustrated tone, as if even he smelled a cop :/

reply

Yeah, that conversation struck me as bad writing.

reply

To be fair he was undercover as a lawyer. Bodhi might have thought Utah was looking for new clients.

reply

well yeah, he wasnt too subtle with the questions , but you gotta make enquireioes somehow.

re the raid
Angelo said "you are strictly backup i dont wanna burn your cover"
..then it got a little out of hand and backup required.

reply

Today's kids would say he's "glowing."

reply

Yeah, I always wondered how the two surviving drug dealers from that raid didn't put the word out that Bodhi's new friend was FBI. They had to have recognized him from the fight at the beach.

reply

Undercover cop who used his REAL NAME

reply

corrects. but his fame as a famous college quarterback is what give him street cred with the ex presidents. instant respects you cant buy. they accept him right away because of this!!
