Why isn't this title on DVD?

I love this movie and want to add it to my collection. I am mystified as to why it isn't on DVD. It may not have been a HUGE box office hit, but it starred some big names (John and Maureen). And I know there are collectors out there who would want the title just based on them.

I just adore this movie - it's a great romantic comedy with actual romance involved, the acting is great...I could just go on and on and on.

Let's face it...the stupid movie studios would rather make their multimillions on a sure thing and gloss over these releases.

Ya, this is pretty much the only John Candy movie to not be on DVD yet. But it's sure to be on DVD some time...

I totally agree, but since this is owned by 20th Century Fox (who are notoriously SLOW in releasing their catalog on DVD) I'm not holding my breath.

Agreed. I saw this recently on UK television during Christmas. Great. Pity about the DVD.

20th Century Fox are only getting around to releasing "Rookie of the Year", "Author, Author" such titles on DVD in the UK. Apparently, they are coming out for the first time tomorrow.

HIP HIP HOORAY!! This great flick is finally coming out on DVD on 6/14/05. I just saw it posted on Amazon.com and Circuitcity.com. Patience does pay off.

Saw that too. Haven't seen any cover art for it yet, but it seems like Anchor Bay is picking up the slack from 20th Century Fox, and they always put quality product out there, so needless to say I'm quite happy right now!

I found out what extras are on it, acording to www.PlayUSA.com extras are a Trailer, TV Spots and a making of. Sound I think is 2.0 Surround (that is quite a disapointment for sound it could have been 5.1 and extras is another disapointment like it could have had interviews, deleted scenes and more good stuff}.

John Candy 1950-1994 we miss you.
