Woefully underrated movie

I love crime thrillers and hard boiled cop movies. LA Confidential, The French Connection, To Live and Die in LA, NARC, that sorta thing. And I have to say, this movie is up there with every one of them. It could easily have been a bad movie, especially with the 'tv movie' type plot surrounding him having to adopt his partner's kids, but the combination of a great script, great direction, and an AMAZING performance from Keaton elevate this movie to so much more. That there's just my 2 cents. What do you guys think?

Please, neither this movie nor someone's opinion of it sucks. I thought this was a decent, though very conventional, cop thriller with a bit of domestic drama thrown in.

A very touching little movie, I thought it was a nice little piece about family...both as cops and a real family.

A classy little pic, no epic..but a nice watch.

Just rewatched for the first time since '91 on cable.

I fully enjoyed it all over again right down to the final "We're alive!" :0

Michael Keaton was good good in this underrated movie.Another underrated movie he made was a film called Touch And Go.Check it out if you never saw it before.

I, too, thinks it deserves at least a 6.5! Good action sequences and those little girls were So Cute!...Plus Renee R is easy on the eyes...Kevin Conway was good, Mike K. was good...Rachael T. was bangable...Tony Plata was Bangable (Using a weapon)...Need I say More? Of course, Hollywood ending...Mike wudda been busted to writing parking tickets on Staten Island! Or Bitch-slapped clear to Yonkers!!!
