Crop Duster
Anybody get the homage to North By Northwest with the crop duster fly-by when Fantasia gets off the bus as she meets her brother? Looks like the same scene Hitch used with Cary Grant. Even the bus.

shareYeah, I thought the same thing.
It sure looked like director Carl Franklin was channeling "The Master of Suspense" in that scene.
That fella was dustin' crops where there weren't no crops.
The sun shone, having no alternative, on the nothing new. Samuel Beckett
I used to live near a field that was crop dusted. The field had trees around it and the pilot would fly so close to the trees before pulling up that his landing gear would brush the tops of the trees. He would pull up into a hammerhead stall
and nose over to dive down and begin his next pass. It was a thing of beauty. I would be driving to work and see him flying and just have to pll over to watch the show.
