The low user score on this movie is a disgrace.
Seriously how is this movie not in the top 250? Makes me ashamed to spend any time at this site.
shareSeriously how is this movie not in the top 250? Makes me ashamed to spend any time at this site.
shareBecause it's not one of the top 250 movies according to IMDB users?
Seriously, what kind of question is this?

Sons because this film is dominant.

Absolutely dominant. It destroyed enough ass to be named the best film of 1992 by Gene Siskel and the second best by Roger Ebert. It's the movie No Country for Old Men wishes it was. Its just that goddamn good.

Because people are idiots. Once you accept this fact, it will save you a lot of exasperation.
shareMaybe its just me but I thought this film was really predictable. Everything about it after the first 20 minutes I could see coming from a mile away.
The way he looked at that kid...I just knew it was his. Even before the LA cop asked Dale how well he knew Lila.
One of the reasons I watched this movie was because it has a 7.1/10 rating on IMDb. Now that I've seen it, I can't believe that it is rated so high.
The acting was stiff. The plot was extremely obvious. Top 250? Not even top 25,000.
But like I said, maybe its just me.
Sling Blade is the best thing Billy Bob Thornton ever did. And I have yet to see a film where Bill Paxton convinces me that he is a good actor.
Agreed..it was good entertainment and well acted. However, Bill Paxton's character is in the end annoying, I mean WTF, he is not calling for reinforcement because the chick tells him not to? And then he waits to take them on by himself? Please, how dumb can you be..

I can't believe you can form words into sentence form.
"The acting was stiff."
Lawlz! This has to be parody. The acting was pitch perfect all around.
"The plot was extremely obvious."
Not to pretty much every movie critic who spend their life watching thousands of movies. Seriously no critic said this movie had an obvious plot.
"Top 250? Not even top 25,000.

You should consider the viability of suicide.

Paxton was awesome in Aliens and Near Dark. Its unfortunate he hasn't convinced you he can act, but also entirely needless since everyone else knows he can.

2deep4u brah. If he had called for help it would have negated the entire film and everything that had been established about his character up to that point.
Go rent Hollywood Homicide.
Its reviews like these that show why if you watch the top 250 here or the top 250 on rotten tomatoes you'll do like 20x better working off RT's list.
Get off your high horse. Do you always tell people who disagree with you over a trivial matter to commit suicide? Damn, you are a terrible excuse for a human being. Get lost, I thought you were ashamed to be on this site.
shareYes, it's too bad more people haven't seen this movie and voted on it; the rating would probably go up. The 7.1 average rating feels a bit under-rated. I rate it an 8.
shareLots of movies out there; not all can fit into top 250 (although it´s more worthy than probably about half of that list).
"facts are stupid things" - Ronald Reagan
Because there can only be 250 movies on the top 250?
shareI'm quite sure, that if you gave it some thought, you'd be able to figure out why it isn't in the ' Top 250 '.
