I think this was ghost-directed by Billy Thornton.

That's an interesting theory. But Carl Franklin had about three feature films (as a director) under his belt before "One False Move", while BBT had none. So I think you're wrong.

That's a B.S. rumor. Completely unfounded. ONE FALSE MOVE is a better film than anything Thornton ever directed. Even DEVIL IN A BLUE DRESS is excellent and better than all Thornton's films.
