Remake casting choices?

I love this movie as I saw it as a kid. Although I can't stand most remakes, I was thinking of who I would cast for all of the roles in this film. I'm thinking for Chris Thorne: Jason sudekis, Jason Bateman, Paul Rudd. Any thoughts/suggestions?

I've often thought the same thing! It's an extremely fun movie, and considering the fact that Hollywood has been flooded with remakes and reboots I'm suprised no one has touched upon this.
