What about the Rome segment?!

I don't know if it was just me, but the Rome segment was so boring and I got so annoyed by Benigni's big head always on the right side of the screen blah blah blah... I absolutely adore "Life is beautiful" and "Tiger and the Snow" and found him very funny, but this time it just did it. Anyone could tell me What did the director want to reflect in this part? I got lost halfway through.

I've been thinking maybe if I first knew Benigni from this film it'd be OK to see his funny talking...

The other segments are really wonderful, especially the Paris and Helsinky parts.

It's f cking hilarious.

All I can think about are dudes.

I thought Rome was far and away the weakest segment. Basically a one-note joke. It would have done well at five minutes, but it was stretched far beyond what it warranted.

I love Jarmusch. Thought New York was easily the strongest segment.

I think this one might be my favourite segment. Hilarious, I was laughing throughout.

Maybe it appeals to people with an older school sense of humor? I dunno but I didn't even crack a grin, it was such an annoying sketch it nearly ruined the movie for me.. but then I don't go for slapstick type of humor, "who's on first" and all that, I'm thinking this type of stuff might appeal more to that generation of corny humor

Benigni was absolutely brilliant. Maybe people who laugh watching The Hangover can't understand what humor is.

I agree. This was my favourite segment along with Helsinki.
