I saw Ghost the movie and read that it was later spoofed in the Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear, but did not get to see the scene. Can anyone fill me in on the details about what happend in this scene? I hear that this scene is hilarious. Thanks.

Okay, to save you time, Naked Gun 2 1/2 spoofs the famous pottery scene in Ghost, which was directed by Jerry Zucker, David's brother. Originally, it was Swayze and Moore with the wheel and he distracts her and the clay thing falls over. They end up having sex to the song Unchained Melody. I wonder how many people in real life ended up doing this as a result of this movie? They could even call it a Ghostie. In Naked Gun you see Frank and Jane doing the same thing but with gags, like using their feet instead of their hands, a third pair of hands appearing, etc. The song Unchained Melody plays of course as well. Check the film out, it is very funny.
shareyou know what's weird, when you see a spoof before the original and you can't help but finding a serious scene funny and you get a guilty feeling. some of the other funniest moments in this, the dialogue between frank and ed: - "why would he be hanging around there? - "intercourse, frank?", - "no, not right now, ed, we got work to do.". i can't believe how just the funniest line after another appears, and i tell you it's amazing how you keep noticing new things after watching these movies for years, like the coliseum in the back windshield of the car, as well as when he's going back to work, he backs up his car the entire way there. the nuclear power add guy i recognised from another small comedy part in "married with children".

They were beginning to shoot the movie in late 1990. One of the producer heads of Paramount said, "If you guys can get me a trailer next week, I'll put it before 'The Godfather, Part III" (despite how you may feel about the film now, in 1990, GF3 was one of the most highly-anticipated movies and your trailer playing before it would have been a huge deal). So since his brother had just made "Ghost," David Zucker created a teaser trailer with Frank and Jane in place of Sam and Molly that wasn't meant to have anything to do with the real movie. However, the response to the trailer was so great that they decided to put a version of that teaser trailer in as a scene in the movie itself.
