Too much chemistry?

The scenes with Demi and Bruce feel a little awkward to me. The way Demi looks at Bruce is a little too flirtatious. I am not sure if it is intentional or not. Obviously Demi and Bruce were together in real life at this point, but I feel like the looks/behaviour wouldn't be how "Cynthia" would look at "Jimmy". Jimmy was obviously a pig, so I didn't have an issue with his advances on her, but it seemed a little encouraged/flirty on her end. Anyone agree or have thoughts on the dynamic of these two in these roles?

I didn't get that impression. My concern was more with why she thought she could reason with him, like when she went up stairs to talk to him about taking it easy on Joyce. He went off on a tangent about not having any sugar in the house! Even when he was sober he was an idiot! Which makes me wonder why she followed him to the van that night in a drunken stupor?.. Even if to stop him from driving.. I don't know if I would have done the same thing when his wife didn't give a $H%!

I do get the flirty thing between her and Jimmy. But I think that it had nothing to do with Willis/Moore, tho. The tilt of Cynthia's head, her coy little smiles tell me she's flirting with him as well as teasing him. She feels safe because she knows nothing will come out of it. Little did she know....

I also get the impression from the movie that this teasing and reacting to the teasing has been happening for years and just escalated to what occurred in the van scene.

And plus, look at the schlub Cynthia was married to. He was a good enough husband but he totally lacked sex appeal.
