I saw this for the first time last night on TV and it reminded me of a parody of a David Lyncy movie (something like Mulholland Drive, though that was made after LA Story?).
Anyway it had a lot of random and absurd moments that reminded me of David Lynch. And a lot of unsavoury moments too!!!
Kinda like a vanilla Lynch doing comedy :)

shareIt does feel like they're shooting for a style or an homage. Not a great movie but ambitious.
