This film had been remade(copied, stolen script or whatever) in our hindi film industry here in india. It was a super duper blockbuster. I m surprised to know that its a lowdown in US. Anyway our indian film makers lacks originality and they copy a lot of movies from hollywood and thats make us the largest movie industry in the world. we make about 600 movies a year.
What can I say about the "wonderful" film a Kiss Before Dying? Matt Dillon is the greedy wanna get rich quick man who romances two sisters - so what's the problem? The sisters are both played by the horribly wooden Sean Young. You know who I mean. Who would be so confident of her capabilities that they would give her not one but two roles in a film? They finally figured out and gave her the only role she did not totally s**k at - that of a robot in Bladerunner!
If anyone is fond of that Ira Levin story then AKBD is a horrible movie to watch! You are much better off taking the Bollywood plunge and seeing Baazigar. A chilling thriller with every performance a gem. And it is no copy of AKBD - it is a classic story of betrayal and revenge. AKBD leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth, bad story, horrible acting, an overall stupid film. Baazigar may turn you on to Hindi cinema and you will be surprised at the good stuff you'll find - of course along with the bad. But HW is no different is it? AKBD is a case in point. If you do like Baazigar and want to see more send me a pm.
