No Fun In Finland

I just read the review from the person in Finland and it raises a question.

If you hate the movie so much, why take the time to write a negative review of the movie on this site? Don't bring the kids down with your negative energy. Take the time you're going to spend bitching about this movie and go to the video store to rent one of those James Coburn movies you love so much (speaking of Coburn, he was the man in Payback which is another movie they probably don't like in Finland).

This movie was fun, sure it's not art, but it's a good time.

And ragging on the "hat convention" line...c'mon. Don't get me started.

"What's Nintendo?"

You like that?

"If the Mario's weren't New Jersey's third largest crime family I would say 'Kiss my ass.', but considering your status I will say 'Slurp my butt.'"

Not good enough for ya?

"Hey! How am I driving? Call 1-800-I'm gonna f***in' die!"

Bruce is the bomb and so is this movie.

No fun in Finland? Oh my, hell yeah it's fun in Finland! I was about twelve years old when I saw the movie for the 1st time and I've watched it almost ten times (I'm 17 now) - and every time I watch it I find myself laughing out loud. The movie is just absolutely great, it is really funny. Dunno what that other guy was about :/

PS. I consider Payback an average movie ;P

"Can you *beep* belive it!?" :D :D

reply

I don't know man, I think Payback was a kick ass movie. Gibson wasn't the reason why it was good though. The supporting cast made that movie. James Coburn stole every scene he was in.

LMAO "Airbags...in the back...can you f***in' believe it?"

Tonight's fun in Finland my fellow finnpanther 'cause Hudson Hawk's on TV!
I haven't seen this movie for a looong time. Last time they aired I missed it, so tonight I'm going to have to tape it for the future :)

PS. I don't think Payback was that goog either. There was nothing wrong with the actors or the director but the "thrill" was kind of lame. That's only my opinion, though :)

"Perskeles!"

Hudson Hawk was just plain crap, I can´t believe you guys liked it .. I guess your idea of a joke is a man throwing a cake or pie in another mans face .. that´ll probobly send you to the floor laughing.

It´s outrageus that it´s got even over a 5 point average here on imdb .. It should be on the list of worst movies ever ..

Lemme ask you a question "Love". Why the hell do you and other people on this site come onto boards about movies you claim to think are "just plain crap" and waste the time posting to tell us how much you think it sucks. Just don't watch the friggin' movie and shut the hell up about it. Let the people who appreciate Bruce Willis' style of humor come on here and talk about it and you can go post about some little artsy movie that a bunch of critics say is good so it must be.

Of course, now that I just went and checked out your profile it seems that you have a knack for going on boards of crappy movies. I mean "Crazy/Beautiful". For the love of god talk about a piece of crap. I was forced to sit through that and thought I might poke my eyes out.

Let me answer that question "Sbute".

1: I enjoy to talk about lots of stuff, even crapie movies. Maybe, and just maybe someone reads the threads here, and decides that he/she shan´t be renting this movie after all. That would be a small victory in itself.

2: A discussion isn´t realy interesting if everyone have the same opinion.

3: A question for you: Why do you write posts that have absolutely nothing to do with the movie. Your criticism is directed towards me, and not as regards something movie related.

As for your other comment, I go on the boards when I have time. Sometimes that happens to be after I´ve just seen a crappie movie, and other times after a great .. and sometimes after a mediocre one ..

and for the record, Bruce W don´t have a sence of humor.

ok, I'm a year late, but am procrastinating on my work....

fight fight fight!!! ;P

Humour is relative, Love.

And so far, the record (all our posts) indicates that Mr. Willis did a great job of tickling laughs out of us.

My small victory would be people who would enjoy the movie got the chance to see it, and those that wouldn't....would learn to enjoy it! People take life to seriously...and I think it kills love.

I mean, just think about how happy life could be if you would find more things happy and funny and joyful. If a pie in the face could make you smile every time...isn't that a good thing? Learning to appreciate the good, the humor, and the talent in everything. No film, no book, no person is perfect...we all know this, so lets enjoy what we like, and let the rest roll off without getting all uptight over it.

Of course, maybe you like to fight. That is fun too...with a smile on your face.
