I think , with the Da Vinci Code movie in prodution and all these "treasure hunt" craze goin around , Hudson Hawks deserves another honest view.

i never saw national treasure, but i think you are being a little bias. Seriously man. HH is 13 years older than NT. they aren't really comparing them to each other. And besides, its opinion man. Hudson hawk only got 1.5 starts. Im pretty sure NT got 3.5. Not positive though.
bus aside from that, this movie, this soundtrack, and everything else, kicks major ass.

Hudson Hawk deserves more...or rather, viewers deserve to see it, and not be deterred by the criticism.
Hudson Hawk was funny, and beautifully irreverent. Bunny, ball ball....
Advice for any who are trying to convince a boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse to watch it: don't give them a choice, pop it in the player and let them make up their own minds!

comparisons....National Treasure was watchable, though not great. I think both actors are equally skilled at what they do...they just do different things. I do prefer Willis' charm and humor, but I often really like Cage's movies too. My real favorites are mostly from the older movies though: Hepburn (Kate), Grant, Olivier, Bergman, and (not so old) Northam, Blanchett, Kilmer and Pidgeon
I was just watching this disc -- a very fun movie -- on DVD, and felt compelled to post here.
I can't believe somebody made an analogy to "National Treasure", right after I hit "send"! Right ON!!!
Anyone wants some fun stories about the making of this movie, read Richard E Grant's autobiography "With Nails", which is well worth a flick.
And buy the late, great Michael Kamen's soundtrack. It rocks. Like most of his other pieces...and, has fun in-jokes to-boot. ("Mona Lisa"? C'mon!!!)
Hudson Hawk and National treasure aren't anything alike. Hudson Hawk was like making fun of other action movies, which is totally not what National Treasure was doing. But anyway I do prefer Hudson Hawk to NT but NT was still an awesome movie.

Really. Personlly I never got the love for Hudson Hawk. Its not funny, very stupid, and it ahs one of the pointles scenes ever where McDowell squeals like a dolphin. Everyone must have been high at that point.
On the other hand National Treasure is just a really fun little B movie t hats really underrated.
