Based on a game?

Is this movie based on the game, or was the game based on the movie? Just wondering. Thanks for your help.

If you mean the Hudson Hawk game, released for the 8 and 16 bit machines, then the game is based on the film.

It was developed by Ocean software who were big on the arcade/movie licences. They did Robocop, Batman etc too.

Exactly.

Most 8 / 16 bit games (2nd and 3rd generation) were developed AFTER films, not the other way around. Only the major companies (Ocean, SEGA, Mastertronic, etc.) The latter still existing, did this.
