Is part deux as funny as the first movie?
I saw the trailer for part 2 and it didn't seem as funny as part 1...anyone who has seen the whole movie could please tell me if it is funny? :)

HOT SHOTS PART DEUX: 0/10

shareI find the original funnier. The humor in the first seemed to be more in the dialogue while the humor in the second seemed to be more in the slapstick.
shareI think it is just as funny. Just an opinion.
shareI have never seen both of them completely but I am under the impression that part 2 is funnier.
shareWhen I first saw these movies back in the day, I thought both were really funny, but the second one was funnier, better and all-in-all perfect. Back then, it seemed like the first movie was almost like a trial run, and the second movie the real deal.

The second one IS funny, though, but it's more 'predictably' and superficially funny, whereas the first one's absurdity reaches deeper level, and thus reaches parts of you that you didn't know could be amused.
I'd say the first movie is more absurd, surreal and thus manages to 'surprise' you more, the second is more 'typical joke'-funny, parody-funny, and such, but it doesn't get to be as absurd (it tries, but it comes off as just 'silly' most of the time).
However, when the second movie really gives you something to laugh about, it's incredibly funny, I still can't get over the..
