The first one is better obviously but I don't really have a problem with this movie. I can pop it in anytime and enjoy it, it's a good movie to drink a few beers to. Ironside rules, the suit making montage, the scene where they bust into the sheild corp., subway scene, the fan scene etc. Screw everybody else, I like it.
shareI agree with you. It's a bad movie, but it's an enjoyable bad movie. Some movies are so bad that you can't enjoy them. Fortunately, Highlander II does not suffer this fate.
shareI thought Highlander 1 2 and 3 were great, I first watched 1 3 and 4 and I didn't want to give this one a chance but I am glad I did today. Endgame totally sucked compared to this one!

In my opinion the Renegade version/director's cut makes this movie a hell of a lot better. yes the first version (highlander 2 quickening) sucked because of the whole alien story but this is corrected. Thanks to this redo in my opinion its the 2nd best highlander movie out there not too far from the original.
I think renegade edition should have its own separate page on imdb because it completely changes the story and ideas from the quickening.
An unique film like it's predecessor.

shareI like it, but I like it more for its comedy value, LOVE when Rameriz comes back and crashes Hamlet and his departing line 'farewell, dear shlthead', my brother and I always laugh at that one.
shareThe scene where Michael Ironside crunches John C. McGinley's balls forgives all. I'm still laughing! He grabs his balls, picks him up and throws him out the window. This movie is a comedy I'm sure.
