If you listen to the Godzillasaurus's cries when he's being bombared by the Americans, his shriek is the exact same as Gamera's roars.

shareI think TOHO used Gamera's roar because after Gamera's Showa season TOHO gained everything of Gamera. So they used the roar so it would be different then when he's mutated.
shareKing Ghidorah's roar is different too. Now it is the same as Rodan.
