James Bond - 20 movies (22 if you count the original "Casino Royale" and "Never Say Never Again")
Godzilla - 28 movies (not counting Emmerich's POS) - all of which combined probably didn't cost half as much as the last Bond movie alone ($142m).

shareGodzilla rules, but this movie is one of the worst by far. Bionic King Gidora looks awesome, but it's too little too late after an excruciatingly inept plot.
shareGodzilla vs. King Ghidorah (no usa version if there's one) is in fact the only godzilla movie I enjoyed watching from almost beginning till the end.
Androids, teleporting, timetravelling, great lines, not-so-bright americans, wicked russians, confused japanese, godzilla playing both good and bad guy, same to king ghidorah and russian android. great explosions, great scene with that japanese lieteunant almost melting evil godzilla's heart, funky romance.
This movie rocks the hell, but I can't say the same from other godzilla movies of this series. in biolante there was this cool virtual russian-like country that had fantastic spy always roaming where the action is + reflector and that's about it; destroyer and 84' didnt really have anything spectacular.
