Terrible Dubbing dude...Sony sucks!!
You'll literally rate it two stars lower if you watch the Sony Tristar dub, seeing as it was *beep* terrible to say the least.

Don't blame Sony- they didn't dub it. It was dubbed in Hong Kong, which is true of all the Godzilla movies since 1971. Only a few of them since then have been re-dubbed by Americans, and those three are GODZILLA VS. THE SMOG MONSTER (US dub on VHS, HK dub on DVD), GODZILLA 1985 (US dub on VHS here, HK dub on VHS in the United Kingdom and never released here), and GODZILLA 2000 (the only true "Sony" dub, which is on VHS and DVD here in the States. The HK dub has never been released anywhere, but was used as a sort of template for the Sony dub).
As bad as this dub is, I think it's better than later HK dubs like GODZILLA VS. MECHAGODZILLA II, GODZILLA VS. MEGAGUIRUS and GMK. The only really good HK dub in my opinion is the one for GODZILLA VS. BIOLLANTE.
I know, I blame them because they didn't bother putting in the money to re-dub it, though judging from the Godzilla 2000 dub I doubt it'd be any better honestly. I simply prefer in Japanese with subtitles.
