I've watched this movie many times as I just realized today for the 1st that tw title card at the beginning reads the ful novel title FGT at the whistle stop cafe. Is this part of the directors cut or something? I've always assumed the movie's official title was FGT.

Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe is the tile of the book that the movie is based. They just shortend the title for the movie.
