Early in the film during the wedding scene, a young Idgie is called by her full name - her middle name being Jean Louise. This is Scout's real name in TKAM. Also Idgie is a tomboy, fights boys, and says "Why do I have to wear a dress?", just as like Scout. Anyway else notice these obvious simularities?

shareI read the novel a couple of years ago and as I can remember Idgie's real name there was Imogene. So if it was Jean Louise in the movie then its the director's innovation. Very good point though! I never noticed that.
