My 'Dying Young' Experience *possible spoilers

I saw this movie about 6/7 yrs ago. I loved it, and especially the locations. I didn't realize where any of it was at the time (I was still living in my native country of Namibia), but it always stuck with me. Later on, I moved to Connecticut, and even later I moved to the Bay Area, in California. That's when I came across this movie again, playing one night on tv. That's when I realized that it started out in San Francisco, and I thought that maybe this "Mendocino" is a real town. So I googled it, and what do you know?

I travelled there and was so happy to find that is was very much the same Mendocino. The locals were great, just as friendly as in the movie. When I told them why I was there, they directed me to "Cappy's Bar" and the area where they (scott and roberts) lived. There was no house, it was a temporary setup for the movie, but the view was still there.

It was an amazing experience... and I recommend it to everyone...

I know own the DVD and often have friends watch it before I take them to Mendo for the weekend :)
