i'm dense--will he live?? was he cured?

the music--i must say sumfin about the soundtrack! my tape's all scratchy for having repeatedly played it for a decade now. =) if i need something to calm my nerves, i could always count on Dying Young's soundtrack to deliver.

I think that's up to the viewer. They leave it open so you can decide if he lived or died.

I like to think that he lived and they got married. I've never read the book, but if you base it on that I think he dies, so it's up to the viewer there too.

In the book, he picks up a gun to commit suicide just as Hilary drives away, knowing what he intends to do and finally accepting it.

It is on the soundtrack, it's called "Driving North/Moving In".
