Actually, there were a couple songs by Yello in this film. I believe when they were pulling into the gas station with the girls they were playing part of "Otto di Catania" which can be found on the album "Flag" (1988). "Tied Up" is on there as well. Yello has some great songs that were used in movies. It's good you mentioned Ford Fairlane because I like that song they do called "Unbelievable" that has quotes from the movie.
