comments and questions (possible spoilers)

I wonder what became of Doyle after the events of the movie, hopefully he became a nicer happier person and had a great relationship with Dutch and his mother in the years to come, and his father drooling when he smiles with a mark the size of Dutch's ring in his head spending more time with him.

I thought there some great scenes like mannerism/habbit both Doyle and his father share. There is a scene with Doyle spraying binanca in his mouth. Later on we see his father do the same thing.

It's a good thing that car (that got totalled) was a rental hoped Dutch had purchased rental insurance. It makes you wondered if it had been Dutch's own car how he would reacted.

the fireworks scene was great especially with Doyle reactions, while watching the fireworks, looking amazed at the show and seeming to have a good time until dutch starts showing off and making eye contact with him does he go back to having a depressed moody/bored not wanting to be anywhere but here look

a few scenes I have wondered about and have questions are

1. earlier in the movie Dutch is making dinner and talking about picking about Doyle he is smashing the chicken apart with a knife. we see a shot of a cooking timer buzzing and see dinner ready but it is revealed they are in a restuarant instead. Did Dutch get pre- occupied with Natalie and burn dinner or did something else happen?

2. Natalie had purchased a ticket for Doyle to fly home on Wednesday day before Thanksgiving. But seeing how the timeline worked Dutch probadly picked him up on a Monday.

Monday: Dutch picks up Doyle, Doyle leaves car in street gets trashed, they spend night at motel.

Tuesday: Get a lift from hookers overnight ride.

Wednesday: spend night at homeless shelter.

Thursday: home for thanksgiving

my question would be would Doyle have able to leave the school early to go home wouldn't he still have had classes to take. do boarding schools close a few days extra before the holiday, I mean wouldn't there still have been classes going on Monday and Wednesday would be the last classes before the holidays. or did Dutch and Natalie agree taking Doyle out of school 2 days earlier would have been necessary and he would have been able to make up the classes later on?

3. We know the London trip was a lie and a cover, so reed could spend time with his girlfriend, do you think the real reason reed showed up at the house was because his girlfriend ended up having other plans and he didn't want to be alone so he went to pick up Doyle and use the excuse that he cancelled the London trip just for his son?

I also thought it was interesting seeing every time Reed wanted to talk with Natalie he told Dutch to go away like he was a kid or a servant someone beneath him.

Dutch: when did you want Natale out?

Reed: Friday!

Dutch: excuse me

(punches Reed in the forehead)

Reed: Monday?

I loved how they had Reed be so controlling and ticked off that Doyle chose Natalie over him that he told her to get out the day after out of spite. It was also interesting to see how the housekeeper prefered Dutch over Reed and seemed to like Natalie more.

I liked the part where Dutch points out the cumberland mountains yet neither we (the audience) or Doyle can see them. LOL

I also enjoyed the Bewitched refences how Dutch keeps on mesing up Doyle's name, and he even refers to him as Darren, and Dobsey.

He burned the dinner.

Probably just skipped the classes.

We will never know what happened with the girlfriend.

Reed originally says Monday, Dutch "gets it changed" to Friday then to six months.

Doyle went on to work at a record store before graduating and kissing Jennifer Love Hewitt. Later on, he briefly became Spiderman and saved his friends from being attacked by English knights. And something with Harold and Kumar, I think.

I haven't seen Eagle Eye yet. Vacancy was a bit fun.

If con is the opposite of pro, wouldn't congress be the opposite of progress?

I am certain that is what the ending implies :o).
