I just watched the original and thought to myself that Jim Carrey would be a great Fred. he's always making faces, acting stupid and often Hypo and crazy at times in his comedies so he'd make the perfect fred. Fred doesn't need to be british in this, I just can't see Russell Brand being Fred.

shareapparently russel brand is playing fred now.. why the f!ck would they remake a movie from the 90s.. makes no sense to me. However, I woulda been stoked if it was Jim Carrey. I can almost guarantee they wont keep that creepy vibe the original did at the end.. we'll see

i think Paul Bettany should be Fred! Im not sure how he would be in the dark comedic role, but I was reminded of him from the original Fred

shareNo remake!!! but if they do decide to really do a remake, AT LEAST make it funny like the original. Put Kat Williams or David Chapelle in there as Fred lol. If you're going to change the original, leave the humor alone! I think they will put a twist in the film.
