Since Rik Mayall is dead and probably wouldn't have returned anyway, who would you get to play Fred? I think if Simon Pegg died his hair that orange color and grew it out he could play a great Fred, he even kind of looks like him.

shareI heard Russell Brand was supposed to star in the remake, but that was years ago. I thought he was brilliant as Arthur, so I was really looking forward to it.
shareRussel Brand? I don't think that he can pull off that kind of humor. I am glad that the U.S. is over him. I can't think of someone off the top of my head to play Fred, but I can definitely say that RB is a bad choice. You never know though...
i think simon pegg could pull it off, but isnt he a bit too famous now adays to do this type of movie? he is the mission impossible / star trek franchise
