Interesting. I wish they would release it in the US.

Can't wait to see the deleted scenes

After all these years I didn't think any deleted scenes still survived or anything like that. Not to mention this was kind of a low budget movie made by a small studio. It's amazing they can have all that extra stuff for a film made in 1991.

There's quite an infamous deleted scene where Fred is in the women's bathroom and is either seen or heard saying "Look at all the poo in the toilets". Rik Mayall talked about it when he was doing press at the time of the release. I'm guessing we'll finally get to see this scene in all its glory lol. Can't wait to see what the alternate ending is.

@ salemslot...Omg, your comment seriously made me laugh out loud. I pictured Fred in my head saying that and I just busted out laughing, lmao! 

Here is a great Drop Dead Fred fan music video I found and which everybody should watch:
Drop Dead Fred (1991) - Phoebe Cates - Music by Randy Edelman

I bought the blu-ray the day it was released and finally got it in the mail, watched the film with and without commentary, watched all the featurettes, and watched all the deleted/extended/replaced scenes. The length of all the new items is very long!

The commentary/features are extremely great and give a very high amount of background to the creation of the film and are very detailed.

Some of the deleted/extended/replaced scenes were rewritten/re-shot, some are extensions of scenes in the movie, and some are standalone scenes not left in the film. I put a (~) for each scene that I think is strong enough to possibly have been included in the film, and a (!) for each scene that I think probably should be in the film, however even these don't necessarily even hurt the film by not being included.

Here are all the deleted/extended/replaced scenes in the order they would have taken place in the movie:
-Deleted scene (~): Lizzie's purse/car were just stolen, so she is at a bank to try to access her checking account, but is told by the teller that it was just closed by her husband.
-Replaced scene: Lizzie is leaving the bank, which is at a mall, and meets Michael and his daughter. There is some great background given to them. This scene was replaced by the courthouse scene in which Lizzie meets Michael.
-Replaced scene (~): Courtroom scene, in which Lizzie gets fired and also includes a flashback to her childhood, replaced by a different courtroom scene.
-Extended scene (~): Lizzie and Carrie Fisher outside the courthouse for a bit, then searching for her husband at his favorite restaurants.
-Replaced scene: It's the first night where Lizzie meets Drop Dead Fred and there is mischief in the living room, including Drop Dead Fred spitting on Lizzie's head while she's counting for hide and seek.
-Replaced scene: Drop Dead Fred and Lizzie and her mother are in the kitchen in the morning.
-Replaced scene: Drop Dead Fred and Lizzie do their fake burglary and then her parents call the police, who show up.
-Extended scene (!): Drop Dead Fred says they should go to the wine party to get Lizzie back with Charles.
-Extended scene: Lizzie swimming away from the sunken house boat while Drop Dead Fred walks on water.
-Extended scene: Carrie Fisher is on the ground after attacking what she thought was Drop Dead Fred.
-Deleted scene (~): At the hair salon where Lizzie gets her hair fixed after Drop Dead Fred has cut it, and Lizzie gets lipstick also.
-Extended scene: Drop Dead Fred and the other imaginary friends doing mischief at the therapists office.
-Replaced scene: Drop Dead Fred in Lizzie's room lying on his back, then sliding under the nurse's dress.
-Replaced scene: Drop Dead Fred and Lizzie escape out the window and Michael is there, then Michael and Lizzie drive off by themselves.
-Deleted scene (~): Drop Dead Fred in the museum bathroom spying on a girl in a stall, while Lizzie is trying to change, and a lady hears her talking to herself, which results in mischief.
-Replaced scene: Drop Dead Fred and Lizzie visit Drop Dead Fred land.
-Extended scene (!): Drop Dead Fred and Lizzie in the imaginary house, in which Lizzie meets her estranged father.
-Extended scene (!): Lizzie says goodbye to her mother.
-Replaced scene: Alternate ending in which Lizzie is with Michael and her daughter Natalie at their house after reading Natalie a story before going to sleep, but Drop Dead Fred shows up and does mischief.

The Blu-ray is Region B and doesn't initially play in USA Blu-ray players, but I am on my laptop and installed a trial of AnyDVD HD program to let me play it (I'm using Zoom Player). This is an extremely great Blu-ray which every Drop Dead Fred fan should get, immediately.

Drop what you are doing and buy this now, right now, with rush shipping! :-)
