Maybe I missed something, but....wasn't he just an anonymous baby dropped off at an orphanage?

Yeah there was no note at all when the baby was dropped off. And how did Frank know how to find Alex 25 years later?

how do you know the nanny didn't prepare a note and stick it in the baby's clothing somewhere saying his name is alex?

I didn't see any notes on the baby.

It was written in marker on the tag of his clothing. That's how they kept Alex's clothes separate from Chad's.

Lol, you guys think too much! :) This film has so many plot holes, it's ridiculous. Let's just enjoy for what it is. A very entertaining 80s action film.

For those of you that didn't notice.....

When she dropped the baby off at the orphanage, there was a french woman there. I think she was a nun or something? I'm sure she taught Alex English and perhaps this is how he learned his name.
