Alex was so much cooler than Chad
...well he was!

Chad is the thinking man's favorite. He adjusts quickly to a world he was never a part of. That deserves respect.
shareI liked how Chad and Alex each had distinct fighting styles. Chad did more kicking, and Alex used his arms with minimal effort. What was that move Alex did where he smacked a guy on the head and chopped him in the back at the same time? It was like the Vulcan neck grip.
Funny how the names don't seem to fit the characters. Chad seems like a tough name, whereas Alex seems like an innocent name or something. Tricky thoughts there, Mr. Lettich.

I agree with the majority here in that Alex was a lot cooler than Chad. By that I mean film-cool obviously. I wouldn't expect him to be a nice guy to know in the real world! He has an edge about him, for sure.
Chad is from a much more pampered, soft lifestyle, so it is no surprise. He's badass in his own way with his martial arts, but in my opinion not as tough as Alex. When they're fighting each other Alex has the best of it, despite being drunk! When Frank comes in to break it up Chad is getting wailed on and only standing because of a post propping him up.
Also, Alex didn't mind getting his hands dirty, evidenced by his love of inserting fists into people's faces, whereas effiminate Chad didn't like the embarrassment of broken nails, so preferred to kick like a girl.
Good point too about the names - Chad is definitely tougher sounding and when recounting the film, it always takes me a split second to remind myself that Chad is the camper of the two.
I blame the parents. They should know which identical baby is going to become the more manlier of the two BEFORE they get murdered, damnit!
When you're fighting a weasel, he's bigger than a man.

Chad is a preppy name. Alex got the right name.
