Oddly enough, it's as close as we'll get to a PROPER Double Dragon movie (the actual live-action DD movie was smeg).

Amusingly, this is true. Seeing Bolo(Who the DD character Abobo is based on) throw drum barrels at Van Damme just instantly made me think, "Double Dragon!"

Originally, there was supposed to be a Double Dragon movie starring Van Damme as Billy and Jimmy Lee. For some reason the rights fell through and they turned it into Double Impact.. so it still counts in my book and definately the closest thing we're ever likely to get.
