shareI totally agree. Lettich wrote some of the best classic one-liners in movie history... that's astonishing! I'm humble, but this is true. I have seen this film 15 years ago and since then i was quoting some of those lines in my life almost on a daily basis. Now looking back i'm surprised that it was just a Van Damme film. But honestly i think this has a lot to do with the writer of this film, of course it's also due to the way how these lines were delivered, so Van Damme has a lot of credit for that too.
My favourite most unforgettable scene is with Alex getting f ucked up while having nightmares how Chad is making out with his girlfriend. It's the way how the whole scene is played out on screen, and the hilarious way how Van Damme is pissed off. At the end he got to the point that he was so scary that he was funny. I can't forget this scene. I have never seen anything so very well done on screen before.
"Is Danielle there?"
"Yes boss, she's in the back. Chad is with her."
"Chad? Put him on the phone."
"Sure boss. Let me just go to get him."
