both eddie and rose look like extremely BAD kissers..
were they suppose to be like that or

I think it was supposed to be like that to show how awkward some situations can be and maybe to show how unexperienced/nervous Rose was.

Exactly, Rose was so unexperienced and Eddie only tried to adapt to her and not make her feel uneasy by being too bold, just going her way:)

Birdlace I think if truth be said exploited her. He only regretted it after his buddies had died and he came back from 'nam. But then you cant blame him, hormonal, 19 year old marine on his way out of the country to something unexpected...
They were probably made to look like bad kissers purposely.
In other movies River doen't look like a bad kisser.
Plus, he should be experianced,
He's kissed someone in almost every movie i've seen of him!
i would imagine Rose has never kissed anyone before... or very few people.
and Eddie is a Marine.. and maybe not used to kissing romantically!
apparently the director wanted they look like of the music dolls around them, in the first time. And then I guess the actors just kept the mood in the other scenes too.

My favorite is when they're in her bed, and he says he can't play (musical) bingo, and takes her hand - and she says "Let me go" and he answers "No". All in whispers. So beautiful. share
