I always thought one scene is really odd. The scene in the amusement arcade when oakey is talking to a girl in a cowboy hat; it is just really random and i could never work out if she is someone he just met, or if he already knew her or what. He acts really familiar with her and it seems like he likes her, but at the same time he acts kind of big brother-ish with her. It's just a very odd, random scene!

Yeah, he did seem to act like if he was familiar with her, but I don' think so because Berzin steps in and says, "The Dogfight's over," so I guess he just saw her and liked her.
shareI guess what that scene proved to me was that Oakie still had alot of class in spite of the Dogfight. I thought the woman he took to the Dogfight was very
noble. It would have been difficult to find the right type of young women for this type of film and story outline. The rules were to find the ugliest girl and you win the Dogfight. But what is ugly anyway? I guess it goes without saying but the film proves this. Relativity has a bearing on evolution. Those who have created proof of this have found that proof is a pretty elite crew to hang with. Elementary my dear Watson.
