A great movie

I hate romance movies. I hate them. I watched this with my girlfriend about 7 months ago and I rewatched it tonight and my reaction is exactly the same - I love it. I love the characters, I love the acting, I love the soundtrack, I love the ending. When I originally saw it I approached it thinking it was going to be another romance movie with the novelty of having River Pheonix in it. I was completley and utterly wrong, and i'm glad I was.

I'm also glad my girlfriend (who incidentally is called Rose!) talked me into watching it because I haven't seen a more affecting love story since.

Thats it - pretty pointless thread but I felt I had to share my oppinion of this movie ;)

It's a gem of a movie and I understand your need to rave about it

That's sweet that a man can appreciate it.

It's a good film, two great central performances.
