I Cried

I remember I just got home from a party and it was 5:25 in the morning and I turned on my T.V. looking for something to watch, and I saw this movie called Dogfight and I remember thinking what the hell is this anyway I saw it took place in the 60's and I'm a hippie so I was like ok i'll watch it. So I watched the movie and when it went off I was just siting on the floor crying and I remember thinking to myself damn this movie is great that was five years ago and I still feel the same way and I always will.

Very sweet.

Aw, really sweet indeed:) It's such a special movie, everything about it is just great and it fills you with a lot of emotions. So gets to your heart... Absolutely LOVE it:)

It made me cry too. That scene where Rose found out about the dogfight broke my heart. I thought Lili Taylor was amazing in that role. It could have been so cheesy and self-righteous in the hands of a lesser actress. River Phoenix was great too. His character was not necessarily likeable at times, but River brought a lot of charm and sweetness to the role, I thought.

Yeah, this movie was amazing.
It made me cry, too.
The casting was great.

It always makes me cry in the scene with the joan baez song and after theyve made love when they are saying goodbye.

reply

The very last scene in the movie, when Rose and Birdlace are hugging in the cafe...that made me tear up. It was so strong without having any words.

Yes. Me, too. I miss him so much!!!

After their night 'together' when we see him running off down the street to meet with the other 'Bee's' and Bob Dylan's song "Don't Think Twice" is playing as the sun comes up....it gets to me like the ending of Stand By Me when his character fades away....so sad

reply

When Bob Dylan's Don't think twice it's alright starts to play, I start to cry.
Don't know why but it's very emotional.

I cried many times during this superb film as well. The acting was so well done that in the absence of words in some scenes, the emotional exchange between the two characters was so great that it brought tears to my eyes. As a River fan, this was one of his finest moments.
