What a crappy ending!

Was anyone else disappointed by it? I would have liked to have heard what was going on in their minds when they reunited and what happened afterwards. Did he leave and never see her again or stay?

I disagree, the ending was spot on. What does a GI returning from 4 years in Nam, being called a baby killer by his country man have to say? I think Rose sympathized with him. The film was about a chapter in the lives of two young people. The chapter was brought to an appropriate ending. Maybe they will make Dogfight 2 someday and you will get your answers.

Obviously I was being facetious about a "Dogfight 2". I was responding to a clueless post. Some of the posters here need a little help understanding things.
