shareNot sure if it's the same song you're thinking of...but I know soon after they get to her room she puts on Joan Baez's record and "we shall overcome' is played...I think that's the right scene anyway...
shareIf memory serves me correctly, the song was "Shake Sugaree" by Elizabeth Cotton.
The song is available on iTunes. The film had quite an eclectic soundtrack even including a John Fahey guitar classic played throughout the closing credits.
Just to let you know, Ms. Elizabeth Cotton worked for the Seeger family for years, and I'm glad she was credited along with Pete Seeger.
