i adore rose,she's since a long time something like a heroine for me.of course it's just a movie but there are really girls like rose,i feel so connected to her.she's a little wallflower like me but in my eyes it's so much better to be a wallflower than the most beautiful flower in the garden.

I might not be the skinniest or the most beautiful but thats okay. To be compared to Rose is the greatest compliment someone can give me I think. I am proud to be a Rose:)

Even more than ever now, people only care about the shell, FACT. Good-looking blokes are of no interest to me in real life, I'm not stupid. It's always safer and less hurtful to go for actors etc.... they can't hurt you.
Don't call yourself ugly! I have seen plenty of couples of varying degrees of what *I* think is attractive who look very happy together.
I was a bit like Rose when I was younger and I was single for a long time until I met my current boyfriend. We are both pretty shy so it took about 9 months of friendship before we finally became boyfriend and girlfriend. I actually nearly missed out on this very loving and wonderful relationship because he was so subtle in his affections. Keep your eyes and heart open or you might miss out on someone who likes you for you.

We exist, just like the male equivalent of Rose exists. Both are just too far and few in between, and life beats pretty solid barriers around the remaining ones for survival.
sharei don't agree that we are few or far between. i know so many other deeply beautiful women who care more about others than themselves, who have done things like the peace corps, who sing beautifully, yet hardly give themselves credit.
it is true that men go for the hotter, skinnier women, in general. the way to meet someone with real values is to volunteer for the cause that's most important to you. she'll be there too. do this and you may have good luck!

I am probably a great deal like her when I was that age. Now I am older and 'damaged' by men who've been cruel and disrespectful. This character is probably more like I am than any other in any movie. I was called the 'little dreamer' by friends in high school.
I keep dreaming that someday I'll have someone who truly cares but have learned to be content on my own.
I think someone would have to talk to me to discover how much like Rose I am but really don't think there is a guy out there that sensitive who isn't gay.
There plenty of guys like that but women don't bother because they aren't hot. Plenty of men are damaged by nasty women too.

Various women have even told me I'm sensitive/caring and that I'm good-looking, but for whatever reason they weren't interested in a relationship with me, or maybe I just didn't try hard enough (women have also told me that as well as being sensitive and good-looking that I can also be 'aloof' so maybe I give the impression that I'm not interested in relationships, but that's not the case. I just don't like getting hurt and so avoid putting myself in that situation).
Anyway, I'm sorry you've been damaged by some men and I really hope you find someone special JediMasterCheryl. I haven't completely given up hope for myself but I have also reconciled myself to the possibility that I may be alone for the rest of my life.

I have never loved a character more than I love Rose. She is a gem. It kills me every time they call her ugly because Lili Taylor is beautiful. And every time they call her chubby it makes me upset for her because she was a perfectly normal weight. She had such a beautiful soul. I loved how smart she was and how in touch with her surroundings she was. The only subject she didn't know much about was dating, and Eddie showed her.

Is that really the case, or guys maybe do pay you attention but they count because they aren't hot enough for you? Women are way choosier than us XY's. My experience tells me even average looking women can get laid way more than men. The quality may not be top notch but sometimes you just have to lower your standards rather than hold out for Mr Perfection...
I think you are judging me here. I don't care about looks. You may think I'm lying but I'm not. I am a personality kind of person myself. But if ANYONE of the male gender does like me, they don't tell me or show it. That is what I am saying.
