Ed Wood Reference?
In the movie, the cross dressing mechanic is named Glen. Is this a reference to the Ed Wood movie "Glen or Glenda"? Candy previously narrated the Ed Wood segment of " It Came From Hollywood ", a B movie tribute film.

on the COMET channel a little while ago .
It's very possible but don't know for sure
myself either but very clever if it is true .
Character named Len - Glen without the " G "
and dresses like a woman too .
It also appeared that way to me in this movie .
Excellent catch there BTW too - very funny .
IMPO - An excellent movie - John Candy was certainly the best
sadly this movie didn't do very well that year .
Definitely considered a memorable
cult classic for the John Candy fan now .
