I have recorded the movie on video and the last few seconds are missing. What happens when the child opens the small door at the very end?
I know the story from a rather similar film I have seen some time ago but I don't remember its name or actors. Was it a remake? Can anyone help me?
You only missed a minute or two of actual story before the credits roll. The child takes her father's photo album out, goes to Hawn and says, "Mommy, we forgot this." After a moment's reflection, Hawn replies, "Why don't you put that in your suitcase?" During the child's progress through the apartment, we see that most of the furniture is gone and there are moving boxes everywhere.
And this film and its devices were reminiscent of Hitchcock, but I can't say I've ever seen anything similar.
